Steps to Reset Your Garbage Disposal

1. Cut Off Power
   • Always turn off the power at the circuit breaker before working on your disposal. This might also cut off power to nearby outlets, so keep a flashlight handy.
2. Look for the Blockage
   • Use the flashlight to inspect the disposal for any blockages like utensils, metal lids, jewelry, or bones. Use tongs or pliers to remove any items. Never put your hand down the disposal, even if the power is off.
3. Reset the Garbage Disposal
   • Locate the reset button, usually found on the bottom of the unit, and press it. If it’s hard to find, refer to the manufacturer’s instructions or contact us for assistance. If the button doesn’t stay in, wait 5-10 minutes for the motor to cool and try again.
4. Restore Power and Test
